Mission Trips

Easter “Hope” Shoe Boxes

We plan to deliver boxes of “Hope” to Southeast Kentucky again around Easter.  In 2012 we took approximately 1,000 shoeboxes to three different schools. This year, we hope to take 1,677 boxes to five different schools.

Two trips are being planned to deliver the boxes. Sandy Branch is putting together a team to go March 24—28. Our association is putting together a team to go April 1—5.  For more information about the boxes contact Marc Sanders at 919-742-0602.  TEAM:  FULL.

In case you are wondering what to put in the box, pack the shoebox as you would the Samaritan's Purse Christmas Shoeboxes.

We have also arranged another mission trip for this summer:

Whitley City, Kentucky - This team will be working with Crossroads Community Baptist Church leading in a week long Day Camp and working with the Lord’s Café providing lunch for poor people through the week. This is in one of the poorest places in America in the coal mine areas of the Appalachians.  The dates are July 13 - 20.  Team will stay at the church and costs will stay at a minimum.

Team needed:  8 - 20 people (FULL)

If you are interested in one of these trips, please contact the associational office.
